Radiological Technologies

Second cycle of studies at the Faculty of Health Studies

About the Study Program

The second cycle of studies in radiological technology lasts one year, comprises 60 ECTS credits, and spans two semesters. The program leads to the degree of Master of Radiological Technology, combining scientific research methodology, advanced topics in evidence-based radiology, and the completion of a master's thesis.

1 year
2 semesters
10 courses
60 ECTS
I

First semester

Scientific research methodology, radiological technologies, healthcare management, analytical statistics, teaching in healthcare, along with two elective courses of choice (e.g., imaging methods in interventional radiology, artificial intelligence in radiological diagnostics, nuclear medicine technologies).

II

Second semester

Evidence-based radiological technologies and the creation of a master's thesis, as two mandatory subjects that round off the second cycle of studies.

Scope of work after graduation

A Master of Radiological Technology builds upon knowledge acquired during the first cycle by mastering advanced imaging methods, the application of artificial intelligence in diagnostics, and independent scientific research, while also demonstrating the ability to lead a team and improve radiological practice.

N

Advanced imaging methods

Application of advanced imaging methods in interventional radiology and radiological technologies, alongside more complex clinical reasoning in diagnostics.

V

Artificial Intelligence in Diagnostics

Application of artificial intelligence tools in radiological diagnostics and nuclear medicine technologies.

R

Radiotherapy treatment

Advanced radiotherapy treatment technologies and their application in radiation therapy planning and delivery.

M

Healthcare Management

Organization and management of radiology service operations, and management of resources and processes in accordance with healthcare quality standards.

P

Teaching and Mentoring

Educational work with students and colleagues; sharing knowledge and skills in clinical and academic settings.

I

Scientific research work

Conducting independent research in the field of radiological technologies, applying analytical statistics, and producing scientific and professional papers.
