About the faculty
Univerzitet u Sarajevu – Fakultet zdravstvenih studija je članica javne visokoobrazovne ustanove posvećena pružanju kvalitetnog obrazovanja i naučno-istraživačkog rada u oblasti zdravstvenih nauka. Fakultet je registrovan za organizaciju i realizaciju nastavnog procesa, kao i za kreiranje i realizaciju programa cjeloživotnog učenja i kontinuirane medicinske edukacije.
Kroz savremene metode predavanja, učenja i istraživanja, Fakultet nastoji oblikovati generacije međunarodno kompetentnih, sposobnih, visokokvalitetnih i inovativnih zdravstvenih profesionalaca konkurentnih na tržištu rada. Studijski programi obuhvataju širok spektar disciplina unutar zdravstvenih nauka, omogućavajući studentima sticanje specijaliziranih znanja i profesionalnih kompetencija, ključnih za unaprjeđenje zdravstvene djelatnosti i doprinos široj društvenoj zajednici.
Najznačajniju prekretnicu u razvoju Fakulteta predstavlja implementacija četverogodišnjeg Kapitalnog investicionog projekta „Rekonstrukcija, investiciono održavanje i opremanje objekta Fakulteta zdravstvenih studija” kojim su trajno riješeni prostorni kapaciteti. Projekat su finansirali Kanton Sarajevo, Univerzitet u Sarajevu – Fakultet zdravstvenih studija i Razvojna misija Ujedinjenih nacija, a ceremonija svečanog otvaranja objekta upriličena je 28.02.2025. godine.

Commitment
The Student Career Development Service provides one-on-one consultations, assistance with writing resumes and cover letters, interview preparation, and workshops and training throughout the course of study.
Quality
The Office of Quality coordinates all activities aimed at the continuous assurance and improvement of quality, and systematically monitors key performance indicators for teaching and research.

The faculty relies on leading healthcare institutions in the Canton Sarajevo for the education of future health professionals, where students gain practical knowledge alongside theoretical instruction.
Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo
The largest tertiary healthcare institution in the country, with clinical departments for hands-on training in a wide range of health disciplines.
Public Institution Sarajevo Canton Health Center
A network of primary healthcare facilities, key for health nursing and community work instruction.
Emergency Medical Services Institute of Sarajevo Canton
A foundation for acquiring skills in managing emergency and life-threatening conditions in real clinical settings.
Institute of Public Health of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina
An institution responsible for public health, sanitary and hygienic oversight, and epidemiology, serving as a teaching base for sanitary engineering.
Study Programs
A basic four-year program that students enroll in after completing high school. The faculty currently offers seven undergraduate degree programs.
A one-year master's program designed for students who wish to deepen the professional and research skills acquired during their undergraduate studies.
A third-cycle doctoral program leading to a single scientific degree for all departments of the Faculty.
Doctor of Health Sciences
The highest academic degree at the Faculty, open to candidates from all health disciplines taught by the Faculty, with the aim of preparing them for independent scientific research.
